Neha Tulsian

Founder & Creative Director

After graduating from London College of Communication, Neha spent her time working with popular global design studios – Johnson Banks, Radford Wallis, Together Design, SAS Design and Williams Murray Hamm to name a few. She was a member of the revered ISTD (International Society of Typographic Designers) before she came back to India.

India saw her working with Ray and Keshavan –The Brand Union and Vyas Giannetti Creative (VGC). At VGC, she played the role of both Creative Director and Business Head, where she set up their Bangalore operations.

In her fifteen-year career, she’s worked with some of India’s most well known brands – Aditya Birla Group, ACC, Apeejay Surrendra Group, British Council, CK Birla Group, Danone, Intuit, Max Estates, Network 18, Nitesh Estates, SABMiller, Unilever and Wipro, to name a few.

In 2013, Neha started NH1 Design in Gurgaon, a boutique design studio that aims to marry the elements of design, science, logic and art in their thinking. Over the years, NH1 has picked up eight Blue Elephants at Kyoorius design awards and a silver metal at the Global Pentawards in 2019. Their work has also been featured in leading global design magazines and blogs.

Neha’s work has been showcased at the prestigious ‘20 Under 35’ at Alliance Françoise De Delhi – an event showcasing the work of 20 emerging designers in India. She has also been on the judging panel at events like Pentawards, Abby Awards, Designomics Awards, Kyoorius awards and has been invited as a keynote speaker and panellist at various marketing and design forums.

Furthering her desire to constantly grow, Neha also completed executive education courses on strategic branding at London Business School in 2018 and Digital Marketing & Analytics at Kellogg’s University in 2021. In 2022, she completed a program on Mastering Brand-Led Growth by David Taylor from Brand Gym.

2022 & 2023

Neha Tulsian will be joining a group of packaging and design experts from across the globe as a jury member for Pentawards. Pentawards hosts the leading global packaging design competition which receives over 2,000 entries every year, from more than 60 countries.

“Eventually, we want to push beyond India, converting the packaging into local languages, so that no one has to feel embarrassed to say the word ‘period.”


Neha Tulsian, founder, NH1 Designs is of the opinion that a refreshed product, packaging and story aren't a bad idea, provided it's done well. "There's also the question of taste, whether the distribution has been upgraded etc.," she points out.
