How do you design for a brand that will disrupt the way we purchase fuel?
By filling an empty need.
Going to a petrol pump is often time-consuming and inconvenient. FuelBuddy is a first of its kind app in India that wants to eliminate the need of going to a petrol pump, by delivering fuel directly to the vehicle or generator, at home or office, at the same price point as a petrol pump.
FuelBuddy aims to transform the fuel industry that is plagued by pilferage and adulteration, by providing an honest and transparent service. The fuel is delivered in specially designed and branded SUVs that have all the safety equipment on board. This venture is backed by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Startup India, PSU supplying fuel and PESO (Petroleum Explosive Safety Organisation).
For the time being, the startup is also well-positioned to offer a B2B service and only offers diesel delivery in Delhi NCR, although petrol and even electric is on the roadmap, along with expansion to other cities.
Our task was to brand FuelBuddy as first of its kind in India to provide fuel at your door step.

The wordmark for Fuel Buddy is a graphic representation of a fuel gauge, an instrument used to indicate the amount of fuel in a fuel tank. The subtle animation of the needle in the word mark indicates the brand proposition of delivering fuel and keeping your car tank full.
We developed an icon system with unique graphic style that would differentiate Fuel Buddy from other platforms. The icons consist of Line art using the brand colours.
