Aster Medcity

Overview
DM Healthcare, one of the largest healthcare groups in UAE and India was coming up with a state-of-the-art hospital in Kochi.  Aster Medcity was conceived as one of the most advanced facilities of its kind in South Asia, equipped with the state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment for accurate diagnosis and treatments. A world-class quaternary care centre, Aster Medcity has eight dedicated Centres of Excellence and one multispeciality hospital, where doctors adopt a multidisciplinary approach to provide holistic treatment to patients.

Challenge
Our task was to design an identity that would communicate – World class healthcare through great customer care and the latest technologies while keeping in mind that the brand needed to be adaptable to all the Centres of Excellence.

Solution
What bricks is to building, science is to medicine. The hexagon is a symbol that is used across branches of science for its molecular shape. We derived the design system from the hexagon using it as the main form for all centres of excellence. Inside the Hexagon we used lines to communicate the core attributes. The overlapping lines to stand for unity and comfort. The triangle – signifying the core values/promise. The colours were derived from the company logo family, shades of blue for science and green for healing.
